Family Discipleship

The fabric of society sometimes seems thin. Different political parties fight against one another; married couples are battling it out. What do we do when everything feels like it’s coming unglued? God is interested in relationships, and none are more important to him than the family. God sent his Son into the world to start a new family.

He came to restore the broken relationships that we all play a part in. First Presbyterian believes that strong families play a major part in making this world a better place.

So, we make it a point to focus on activities that bond families together. We spend time together participating in all kinds of fun events, but we especially enjoy sharing meals with one another. Food is something that all cultures enjoy, and we have fun eating food from all cultures. We take our cues from the Lord’s Supper, also called Communion, and we feel the blessing of the Lord as we dine together.
